Research and Investigation

  1. Select at least two relevant photographers.
  2. Analyse their work in relation to your project.
  3. Explain social, cultural, historical, or scientific influences on their practice.

Look into:

  1. composition,
  2. lighting styles,
  3. photographic and editing techniques

…that will support your chosen theme.

Don’t include generic biographical information or classroom exercises unless directly linked to your topic.
Name specific examples of the photographers’ work and demonstrate a clear link between the influence from that particular image and its impact on your image.

No maximum word count is set for research notes. The emphasis is on relevance and clarity – streamlined, specific evidence is valued over lengthy, unfocused text.
